At Bude Primary Academy Infants our mission statement is ‘An Active Lifestyle for All’ embedding our values through PE and School Sport. We feel Physical Education has an important role to play in helping us to fulfil this statement.
We work hard to provide high-quality lessons and extra-curricular activities. A wide range of PE is delivered to the pupils, which aims to engage and inspire all pupils. Lessons are taught one hour a week by our Specialist Sports coach who works alongside all our class teachers and teaching assistants; with class teachers and teaching assistants delivering the second hour.
Our school PE lead arranges a sporting calendar, which includes local competitions, County competitions and CPD for staff. We are part of a wider network, which reaches out across the Aspire Multi-Academy Trust. This enables us to add to the P.E, Sport, and Well-being opportunities available to our pupils and staff.
Health and Wellbeing, PE and School Sport are a central part of our school ethos. We believe that it is a catalyst for learning development for open mindedness, independence, and creativity. We are committed to embedding within our daily practice an active lifestyle for all, teaching empathy and respect. In unison with our parents and school community we provide a base to ensure all children are physically, emotionally, and academically fit.
